Enable students to view and pay their bills electronically Description:
A qualified software provider would be identified through an RFP process. The acquired software will also support FERPA-complaint access to parents to view (as their student has authorized) their student's billing statement on-line and make any necessary payment towards the account. This customer service enhancement comes without charge as a benefit of the e-Billing software. Payments would be accepted by credit card or electronic check. Hard copy billing statements would still be produced when required, but the default would be to use the campus email system to send bills to students. Integration with Banner and DaFIS would be important considerations in the evaluation process. Notes/Status:
Pricing is under development based on a contract placed through UCOP. Bills are expected to be delivered via email starting next Fall. IT Strategies:
